In August 2006, thanks to the generosity and volunteerism of many, the historic Colonial Theatre located in the heart of downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts re-opened its doors as a newly renovated and exquisitely beautiful space. In the brief time since then, the Colonial has become an integral part of a revitalized downtown. More than 60,000 patrons will attend diverse, quality, year-round programming this season. The Colonial’s Performing Arts for Schools Education program will deliver curriculum focused programs to more than 3,000 area schoolchildren—all at a cost of $5 or less per student.

Ticket sales and rental income cover just over half of the expenses associated with operating and programming the Colonial. We need your help today to keep the “magic” alive and the momentum going. If every person gives just $20 for each positive and enjoyable experience they have had at the Colonial, we’ll be able to serve our community for years to come.
