Education programs are a fundamental component of the Colonial’s mission to serve the community. Performing Arts for Schools events allow students to experience diverse, educational and entertaining, programs that reinforce classroom curriculum, while fostering an understanding of, and appreciation for, the performing arts!
Performing Arts for Schools Education Fund
The Colonial Theatre’s Education program is such an important facet in enhancing the curriculum and inspiring the minds of local students that donors are stepping forward to guarantee that all students, regardless of financial situation, will have access to this creativity-building resource. We extend our sincere gratitude to the following individuals and businesses for their generosity:
Nuclea Biotechnologies/Patrick J. Muraca established a multi-year fund to subsidize tickets to the Colonial’s Performing Arts for Schools programs, for Pittsfield public schoolchildren who qualify for financial assistance.
Ruth & Nicholas Boraski established an endowment gift, the income from which will be used to provide scholarships for student tickets to the Colonial’s Performing Arts for Schools programs.
Linda O’Connell established a multi-year fund to annually underwrite the Colonial’s Performing Arts for Schools programs.
Nancy Vale established a charitable remainder trust in the name of her late husband Michael Vale to provide scholarships for student tickets to the Colonial’s Performing Arts for Schools programs.
